I have done anything I could find online to make my battery last longer, including turning off Wifi, Cellular, 3G, Push notifications, Fetch mail, and so on. And I think it really helps because the battery functions just well during the day.

However, the nightmare comes at night! I have noted the battery percentage when I go to bed at night and when I wake up in the next morning. The battery always drops by about 15% over night, and it's completely idle with nothing running in the background.

Is anyone having the same problem? Is there any way to fix it? I have an iPhone 5 64GB with iOS 6.0.1.

Thanks!

    a phone is never idle

it keep an active connection with the cell network

and at times look for a stronger connection then the one it have

and then it is hadling notifications and alarms

another thing which mean a lot for batteries is temp

cold temp result in faster decharge

if you want your phone 100% idle you need to hold down the on and home button untill the slider to really turn it off show and then turn it off

but batteries being chemical even if the device is 100% off then the battery will lose charger over time

By idle, I mean no apps are running at the time.

You're lucky, mine is worse than that and has been under 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and after exchanging it as well as restoring it to new!
