Q: Apple TV keeps losing connection(?)

Hi all,

We have an Apple TV that is about two years old. It has been working wonderfully until now. For some reason, it will just lose the connection(?)/stop playing movies. I'll check my computer and the icon for iTunes shows it isn't "on". I cannot recall if this started after I downloaded Mountain Lion, or if it started before that. At any rate, once it stops, we cannot get it going again for quite a while. I called support, and the rep with whom I spoke said that he thought it could be our network connection. That, however, is working fine with all of the computers and the printer. I have updated iTunes (it's set to automatic updates), and we have disconnected the Apple TV, and reconnected it. That worked for most of one movie, but, again, it "lost the connection". We get errors saying "Cannot Access"...

The only other thing that I have changed is that we joined Netflix, and have been watching movies from them on Apple TV.

Do any of you have any ideas as to what is going on???
