How do I rename my ipod 1st generation
iPod touch, iOS 3.1.3
Connect the iPod to your computer and click on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and change the iPod's name like you change a file name.

this ipod has kristen's ipod on it and i'm trying to remove it
for some reason can't find devices
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
The iPod has to be connected to the computer.
