Move .mv4 Header (moov) to Beginning of File

I'm trying to stream a .mv4 file created by iMovie.

I understand that such files sometime have an index header (moov) at the END of the file instead of the start. If this is the case, the entire file must be downloaded to read the header before streaming can start...kind of defeats the idea of streaming.

I've read that there are utilities to modify the file and move the position of the header from the end to the beginning. Then the file will stream without having to download first.

Can anyone recommend a .mv4 editor that moves the index header (moov) to the beginning?

Thank you.

This can be done in imovie. I would suggest that you use Share/Export Using QuickTime.

Choose Movie to QuickTime Movie and click options.

Choose h.264 as your video codec, and check "prepare for Internet streaming. Fast start."

For example, here are suggested settings for YouTube. You can modify them for what you are trying to do.
