When will the batery drain in ios 6.0.2 be fixed or how to fix it?

Tired of reading all the post emails 🙂 . I did what you posted I hope it works for me, Thanks. Time to charge the battery 😝

Seems that the discussion you are referring to is currently closed and locked. However, I did follow the suggestion you made in that post based on recommendation from Apple support and it appears my battery behaves better. Fingers crossed.

Lucky you, although my iPhone 4S used to go for 3 days so 1 day battery doesn't sound like you got a good deal either.

I had the same problem and i fixed it by downgrading to 6.0.1 through iTunes. Then restore with an iCloud backup, and don't update your carrier settings.

Just got off a chat with Apple Support...

They speculate it was because the update did not install correctly.

Told me to backup and restore my phone as usually through iTunes, then if this does not fix the issue they will replace my phone.

I'll post back if this works or not.

Well the restore as new phone, while extreme, is certainly something to try. A less intrusive thing to try is settings--> general--> reset all settings. These have helped some people. Before you do the former, take screen shots of all your folders so it will be easy to recreate them.

I tried the settings reset and it only partially fixed the issue: the battery drain is not as fast as it was yesterday but I still lost 35% in 10 hours which in comparison to my iphone 4 is not great as that was 24hrs worth. It still needs to be fixed properly by Apple.

I tried first reseting all settings and that did not work.

I then tried restoring my phone again as Apple Support instructed me to. This also did not work.

I guess I'll try to get Apple to hold up the promise of replacing my phone. I'll post if they do.

did you restore the phone as new or from a backup?

from a Backup

it's important that you restore as new to see if the issue is hardware related. when you restore from a backup, if there's an issue with your software, you're just bringing the issue right back to the phone

Just restored as new iPhone. waiting to charge up to 100% then will post back in a few hours once I see my drain pace.

In 20 minutes my battery is still at 100%. Looks like restoring as a new phone is the answer.

Keep an eye on it once you hit 1hr and 24 minutes standby it drains like water.

Same thing here... I tried everything, restore and reset all settings and still the problem exists

I lost 65% in 6 hours with normal usage... I can't believe it!!!
