iTunes sees '0' photos on iPhoto

I have always been able to sync my iPhoto albums via iTunes to my iPad and iPhone from my iMac. Now, iTunes shows each album in iPhoto as having '0' photos. Thus, I am not able to get any photos on my mobile devices. The photos are still on iPhoto and I've been able to export them to Photosop Elements. What gives?
