I recently got an iPod Video, but also got a Universal Dock. I don't want to just put it in a corner and never use it, so I wanted to connect a cheap pair of headphones to it until I got a proper set later this year.
I looked through the Apple store and didn't find anything that will allow me to plug my headphone speakers into a cable and be able to plig that into the 'Line Out' connection at the back. Please help!
You can't really do that.
The
Line Out jack on the dock is to be used for connection to some sort of amplified device, such as a stereo receiver.
You can't simply plug headphones or speakers directly into that jack and expect to get audio.
No, if you want to use headphones...then plug them into the headphones jack on the iPod itself.
I'm just saying that you can't plug headphones into the Line-Out jack on the dock.
