Cannot Install Mac OS 10.5.2 on an iMac G5 PPC

Hello all,

the harddisk in my old workhorse, a beautiful iMac G5 PPC purchased in 2006, has broken down completely. So I replaced it with a new one. Now I have the following problem:

1. After partitioning the new disk I can install Mac OS 10.3 w/o problems.
2. When trying to replace 10.3 with Mac OS 10.5.2 (AHT-Version 3A140) from original installation CDs, installation fails with the message "This software cannot be installed on this computer." This happens for both overinstalling on 10.3. and installing on a freshly partitioned harddisk.

I did install 10.5.2 in 2008 w/o problems AFAIK.
