my new ipod nano 7th wont turn on

Reset. Press and hold on/off and home button until apple logo appears. This happen sometime when ipod is left to charge for longer time.

did that as well, a brand new ipod nano 7th generation, wont turn on or work even after pushing those buttons for a very long time.

ill take it to the apple store I guess

Have you tried charging it? If you did, ask for a replacement.

My iPod recently did this as well, so I restored my iPod by taking all the stuff (all of the video and audio) off and re-syncing it. I then restarted it by pressing both the home and lock buttons simultaneously, and it worked very well.
