I have been importing CDs (audio books) to iTumes and then to my iPhone with no problem. All of sudden, on disk 4 of a book, the "join tracks" option disappeared. How can I get it back? What happened?
Know this question is very old, but found it searching for the same issue and wanted to post my answer. Had the same problem, the solution is to be sure to click the heading at the top of the CD Tracks list on the far left to Sort by Track Number. The minute you sort by track name, you lose the join CD option. It's easy to not see this, because sorting by track name leaves them in the same order. But just click the heading over the track number, and the join cd will reappear.
