Macbook pro retina low resolution after playing games.

Hi,

I have just bought a new macbook pro retina 15". I have downloaded some games and i have noticed when i exit the games that all of my apps have changed to a lower fuzzy resolution, including the top bar with the date and the time etc. This happens with all apps including safari (web pages aswell) itunes, settings, app store etc. This only happens after i exit certain games, so it must have something to do with games that dont support retina. The only way i know of to revert this problem is to reboot the macbook. Has anyone else come across this problem and managed to fix it without shutting down all the time?
