Q: Hello, I followed the instructions on my iPhone4s by going to Sett>Gen>About and nothing was new even thou I was advised to update as soon as I plugged into my Mac for a backup. Does this just mean that it tells all iPhone users to check just in case ?

Hello All,

 

I followed the instructions when I plugged in my iPhone 4s to do a backup on my Mac. I was then prompted to update carrier settings by going to Settings>General>About. I did as instructed and nothing was new, even though I was advised to update as soon as I plugged into my Mac for a backup. Does this just mean that it tells all iPhone users to check for any available updates just in case ?

Carrier updates are done over the air and only take a minute or two.
