How can I sort the order of photos in photo stream?
My photos end up in a chronological order when posted to photo stream. How can I sort them in the order I want them to be viewed?

Remove them all from Photostream and add them back one by one in the order you want.
Thanks, I understand. Rather cumbersome solution, though, and it means each slide is a separate photo stream. I had hoped I could resort them once uploaded. They were sorted when I uploaded, but then desplayed chronologically. I'll have to find another solution for my purposes. Changing all the dates is too much of a headache.
Do you mean my photostream or photostream shared albums.
I'm trying to create a shared album with a specific sequence of photos, but the sequence I want is not chronological.
In which case you would need to change the dates for each photo.
It would be simpler if Photostream would simply maintain the order in which photos are uploaded to the Stream, rather than forcing them into the chronological order in which the pics were created. That way, you could arrange them in the desired order in an iPhoto album and then upload the album to a Photostream. What is the logic behind forceing them into chrono order?

I fully agree. The mandatory sort order by date & time is ridiculous. And wasn't the case with MM's Galleries. Which also allowed you to upload the original RAW files. They sure dropped it with iCloud Photostream with this, and many other issues I have with photos. iOS8 will be a welcome upgrade, but that will only touch on a few issues, and I can't find details on what they are working on that will be released 'early next year' as was mentioned at the WWDC Keynote.
Boogie on down to the feedback line and let Apple know your feelings.
Thanks, I did just that (though through Aperture as I don't use iPhoto). Also put on the iCloud feedback as OT posted a link.
