CAN I REVERSE PULLDOWN REMOVAL?

Hi folks,

I use an older Cannon HV20 camera that requires pulldown removal if I shoot in 24p. I have gotten so used to doing this that I accidentally used this process on some regular HDV 29.97 footage that I recently shot. Stupidly, I have erased the original captured footage and have misplaced the tape. Is there a way for me to 'UNDO' the pulldown removal process and/or to re-compress it so that it is not so obviously incorrect as it looks slightly jagged in the interlace?

Settings of original footage: HDV 1080i60, 29.97, Upper (field dominance)

Settings of compressed footage: Apple Pro Res 422, 23.976, Reverse Telecine, None (field dominance)

(Audio and aspect ratios remain untouched from original.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Compressor should be able to do this pretty well.

If you're not used to using Compressor, follow the steps outlined in this link, which I think has pretty clear directions.

Good luck.
