I have a vintage PC used for vintage Excel macros.

We're talking Excel 2003...which is still used at work.

Excel V.x is compatible with all but system calls [like when you have one workbook open and read another] which has to be PC verified.

Would like to connect PC to iMac using Ethernet Only. Just for moving files around without "Thumb Drive In Thumb Drive Out".

Is there a tutorial out there that describes Windows xp <--> Mac Connections just using Just the Ethernet cable and not the home network?

[ the home network approach was so simple my jaw dropped, bidirectional movement between the PC "Shared" and MAC "public" was achieved quickly]

Mac OS X (10.6.8)
