iOS 6.0.2 update made my battery drain quicker

I have observed that my battery drained quicker after the ios 6.0.2 upgrade. This morning at 5:40am my battery was fully charged. I removed it from charging and did not use it. Data was on. I checked it at about 9am and it has 70% battery. As i am typing this message and going to this site, i have loss 4% already.

LOL..

That makes perfect sense and Apple do indeed verify 6.0.1 downgrades.

They do not share your sentiments about it not being a hack though. When I posted detailed instructions on how to do that a few days ago they were taken off the website (and the thread locked) in no time.. Let's see if your comment even makes it past the Apple big brother who is watching...

My sister also got this problem when she had iOS 6.0.2 upgrade. (iPhone 5)

She went to bed with about 80% of phone battery last night. After 9 hours, she woke up and found there was no battery left on her phone.😮

She did turned off most of every applicaitons needed to be close. (Celluar on, but 3G, bluetooth, wifi, most of notification and location are off, no application in used)😕

Just want to share the same problem. 🙂

I have the iPhone 5 and I am still on 6.0 and I have a terrific battery. I unplugged at 6:30am and when I went to bed at 11pm I still had 70% Not a lot of usage that day but still had a little web browsing, phone use, texting and a couple games played. I had a iPhone 5 that was defective and I had updated to iOS 6.0.1 and saw a decrease in battery life, when I got my new iPhone 5 I refused to update and I am still rocking a nice battery. Just got 24 hours yesterday and still had 18% left

I have the same problem. After iOs 6.0.2 my battery drains quicker. Sometimes the battery drains with the phone locked at night, like Phicha_s' sister phone. Before the update i have no problem at all.

I have discovered a no-solution to the problem. If i select "Plane mode" the battery stops draining. But then i have a iPDA, not an iPhone 😟

Before some research i found that with iOs 6.0.2 the phone have some trouble with 3G signal. If you put the iPhone in a place with weak signal sometimes the phone start to drain battery. If you let the phone in a place with strong signal then there is no problem.

Testing my iPhone with diferents settings last week i discovery some interesting things.

If turn the 3G off the phone have the same problem, but reduced leakage.

If turn Data off then leakage stops and still can send/receive calls 🙂

Now i'm sure it's a problem with some app/service that uses data without control.

Now i go to try reset settings first and then install iOS 6.1.
