iTunes 11 does not support "gift playlist"

The small arrow to the right of the playlist name (when highlighted) is not in iTunes 11.0.1 as in earlier versions. Any help? (Not the best timing--right before Christmas and all the gift giving.)

Sorry. Am just as shocked as yourself.

This option is gone in iTunes 11. You have to find computer with iTunes 10.x or you have to gift each song individually (go through form and send email per song). I had this confirmed with Apple support.

Apple either decided (in their higher wisdom) that too few people gift playlists or (in their current lack-of-quality state) simply forgot it.

I hope for the latter, but timing with Xmas is just unacceptable.

I guess Apple took it out because they didnt think anyone used it. But people didnt use it because they couldnt figure out how to use it. Apparently not much research went in to this concept for apple, they barried the interface for it. Seems to me like they're out of touch with how people (not 1 person but groups of people) relate to their music in terms of friends and loved ones and shared experience.

So much for the Media Comapny that gets people and excels in UX.

Hi--Just learning I can't gift a playlist in iTunes 11... I agee with the comments, Apple needed to market this feature more--make it more accessable and visible, can't imagine why they woud remove it. Overall, I'n not that thrilled with iTunes 11. I have recently updated my Mac to OSX 10.8.5. Is it possible for me remove iTunes 11, and download and use the last version of iTunes 10?
