Q: pages not updating

After my last update on ML 10.8.2, pages indicated that it needs to be updated also.  When I try to update, an error window comes up telling me I need to use the account I purchased it with, but it came preinstalled when I bought my MBP.  This happened after the first update as well and it took several levels of apple care to fix it, now apple care is gone and problem is back.  Anyone know the fix for this problem?

See > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4236 If it doesn't help, open App Store > Featured > Account > Show hidden purchases, and show that program

Thank you for your input Mende1.  My husband and I are both nervous about doing as directed in the link (Remove your startup volume from the list by selecting it and clicking the minus icon in the lower-left corner of this window. )  And in following the second suggestion, we saw no place that would "show hidden purchases".  I am pretty new to the Mac world and have not been too tech savvy even prior, but my husband is quick on this stuff & well educated about it so if he is hesitant to do something, I trust his instincts.

This question is for other users...Do you agree with Mende1's suggestions?  Do you have any other suggestions?  FYI to everyone...When I go to my purchased apps, Pages is not listed there.  I assume it is because it was preinstalled when I bought my computer & I can find nowhere to get me to where I can see "hidden apps".

Thank you for your quick response last night Mende1, and I hope you understand my hesitancy and need for a second opinion.

    Merry Christmas,

    Darby.

Don't worry about this. If it doesn't help, contact with App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact
