Q: set up underage daughters ipod touch

G'day guys and girls,

I am about to give my 11 year old a 4th gen. ipod touch for Xmas with gift cards, and was wondering how I set it up for her? Can i download to my mac, with her gift cards then transfer them to her ipod touch?
