PC won't connect to photostream

On a new Windows 8 machine. Photos from either my iphone or ipad both show up on photostream for both devices. But my photostream folder on my PC shows absolutely nothing. I've reset the photostream in icloud several times, and uninstalled/reinstalled icloud software several times. Still nothing shows up on my PC at all.

Please help, very frustrating.

I've got this exact problem...
Windows 8 Pro 64bit

Photos sync from iphone to ipad and MacBook Air, however nothing shows up on my Win 8 computer.
I haven't reset my photostream yet but I did uninstal and then clean with CCleaner and reinstall iCloud control panel 2.1.1

Even checked my firewall, reset my firewall.

I know this isn't a helpful answer, but just wanted to say that I'm in this boat as well.

unfortunately I had no luck with that. I tried setting both the icloud.exe and photostream.exe as win 7 compatability (even another attemp as "run as admin") and also tried win xp service pack 3, then restarting my comp and all that fun stuff... No luck for me 😟

Whats interesting though is that if I drag a photo to the uploads folder, i can see that photo on my iphone or ipad in the photostream section.. rather puzzeling.

But thanks anyway. I'll keep trying and if I can find something, I'll post.

unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore. After running it under win7, it started to sync some photos immediately but just 10 or something....thats it.

so what I did was I connected the iphone with the cable and copied the pictures using the windows explorer....its the old fashioned way, but it works....

:S

The upload doesn't work for me either...
