iTunes Doesn't Register My Device

I recently uninstalled "Bonjour" from my computer and I don't know if that affected my iTunes but whenever I plug in my iPhone it does not see it, what I'm trying to say is iTunes doesn't realize that it is plugged in, therefore I cannot sync my iPhone or anything. Also, since I have uninstalled the program, whenever I launch iTunes, at the top it says "Gathering Genius Playlist" or something like that. Also, iTunes won't even launch and that may be an issue with my computer. I know I have a lot of problems, but if you could help me that would be amazing! My computer is running Windows XP and I have the most current (so I think) version of iTunes. Thanks for your help!!
