Verifying FaceTime and iMessage

Hello,

My ipad never verifies my email address on facetime or imessage, i have never used either of the apps.

Everytime i try to activate the account it starts with:

Enter apple id----- when i enter it, it goes to choosing the email address i want to use, when i have chosen that, it says verifying, and goes back to enter apple id.

Am i the only one with this problem? And how do i solve it?

Thanks already.

Hello Tom,

I just saw that i have the iPad 3, and not the 2.. Maybe it's different?

When i see the links they do kind of help, but the problem is: i don't seem to have the same menus as they are talking about, or i just have no idea how and where to turn FaceTime and iMessage off...

I am still checking the links but they are kind of the same, the third link doesn't work though..

Thanks!

Isn't the iPad 4 just an iPad 3 with retina screen? Cause I'm pretty sure i have the same one...

I managed to turn FaceTime on and off in the menu, just go to settings>restrictions.

I still didn't work after that, but when i left my house for about three hours, i tried again and both FaceTime and iMessage suddenly worked.. Not sure what happened though..

yes the only difference between the 3 & 4 is the retina display...I turned off the facetime like you did early today but it didn't help. I decided to see if I could facetime myself with my IPhone 4S and it said that my IPad was busy. Still trying to get this, if you fix yours could you PLEASE post the fix? Thanks

To be honest i'm still trying to figure out what happened, i'm not sure...

I will post it when i know what happened.

Is it still just the verifying problem? If yes, i suggest to just turn FaceTime off for an entire day and the next day, or later the same day turn it back on and try to log in, thats how i did it though..

Hope it helps!
