Q: pairing iphone5 and h7 polar bluetooth heartrate monitor

I am running iOS 6.0.2 on my iPhone5 and have tried pairing my Polar H7 bluetooth heartrate monitor. The H7 works since it is visible e.g. on my iMac, however it isn't visible on my iPhone5 and won't pait via Polar Beat nor via RunKeeper. Suggestions anyone? PS I have restored my iPhone5 (total restore)

    Same on my iphone 5, until I start Endomondo app and go to configuration>frequency cardio> search strip cardio, and this app found my Polar H7 and works perfectly. But i don't know why Polar isn't appears on my iphone bluetooth pairing list..

    Low Power Bluetooth devices don't pair though the normal BlueTooth options area, you pair them inside the app using them (as valobal mentioned) and they don't appear in the BT area once paired - I've got the Wahoo BT HR, Cadence & Speed sensors and they work in multiple apps.

    You also have to be wearing it when you pair it, it's only active when it's receiving a heartbeat, so if it's in your hand and not on your chest (with wet sensor strips) it's off.

    Thank you Ruprick;

    The issue you resolved for me was your suggestion about having it on when I was attempting to pair it. Maybe I missed it, but the Polar info said not a word about that. thanks again.
