How do I find my Device ID?

How do I find my Device iD on a MacbookAir? I DO have my serial number but I believe the Device ID is different, isn't it?

A device is showing up in my router that has a Device ID that I do not recognize.

Whereas my Ipad mini shows up as an Ipad and apple TV shows up as Apple TV, my Macbook Air MIGHT be showing as a 12 digit string, but I would like to confirm that is is MY string!.

Anyone?........

It may be showing your MAC (media access control) address. To find it on your MacBook Air, click the apple on the left of the menu bar, about this mac, more info, system report, then on the left side, network and wi-fi.
