Q: how to start game after I put in disk drive

I just got my new mac pro and I want to play sims game. I slid disk in but can't get it to run. I don't know how. Help!

    Use this tip to ensure you are showing all optical discs in the Finder

     

    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1015 without ejecting the disc.

    Next open the CD icon to find if there is an installer or just an application.  Double click the installer or drag the Application into the Hard drive Applications folder if there is no installer.  Lastly, double click the application from the hard drive Applications folder.
