How do I put my DVD movies onto my ipod?

I know how to put my PHOTOS onto my ipod, but now I want to download my movies. I can't figure out how to get them onto my computer then onto my itunes then onto ipod. Any help is appreciated.

When I put a DVD into my computer it only gives me the option to play.

Windows XP

Assuming that you have an iPod with video playback capability, head on over to the iPod video forum.

If you do have an iPod with video capabilities, then you could try HandBrake, which will take the DVD movies and rip them into iPod format.

but then if your posting in the right forum then you cannot transfer videos to your old ipod.
