I just got a new laptop and instead of putting the old music all on a flashdrive and doing it that way I want to just be able to plug in my ipod and get all the music from there onto my computer. Is there any way I can do this? Not all of my music was downloaded from itunes.

I missed the last sentence in your question!
Use your flash drive then.
iPods/iPhones etc do not work like flash drives for media transfer - they could if Apple wanted them to but Apple has relied on itunes to manage media for you - in this kind of instance it gets in the way.
There may be 3rd party apps to help you achieve what you want, but Apple don't officially support this.

That would take too long,I want a quicker way to do this.
You might find a 3rd party app to do this kind of things, but you can't ordinarily access an iPod/iPhone like a drive.
If you still have both computers with all music in iTunes, enable home Sharing with them on the same network, then copy from old to new using the shared library that appears in iTunes sidebar.
