Dec 25, 2012 6:11 PM in response to Miss Lucyby Bob Timmons,★HelpfulIt sounds like you must be looking at some old setup instructions that were used prior to the introduction of the Lion and Mountain Lion operating systems.
The (hidden) setting in AirPort Utility 6.1 to "allow this network to be extended" is automatically enabled in AirPort Utility 6.1, so you do not need to worry about this if you are using AirPort Utility 6.1 to configure devices.
Do you need help configuring the AirPort Express to extend your network?
If yes, we need to know if you plan to "extend" by connecting the AirPort Express to your AirPort Extreme using a wired Ethernet connection.....or.....whether you plan to "extend" using wireless only.
