Trouble using FaceTime

I keep receiving the following error when trying to connect via FaceTime: "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later." I have confirmed date and time are correct and still can't connect. I've never had issues in the past connecting, so this seems a bit strange. Have also confirmed Apple ID and password are correct.
