Itunes Soundcheck for IPOD Touch version 6.0.1(10A523) won't turn off/disable correctly! :/??

I turned sound check ON, then I synced my music. I wasn't happy with soundcheck ON, so I *unchecked* the box to turn it OFF....But my music still sounds like soundcheck is ON! It is too quiet and the quality is still lower than usual, it is like soundcheck is still enabled but it is *NOT*. How do you put the music settings back to *normal* like they were ''before'' *sound check* was ever 'enabled?'

PLEEEEASE help!!
