I bought my iPad 2 before iOS 5 was released. I was told I'd be able to upgrade to iOS 5, but haven't been able to figure out how. Can anyone help?

first you need the latest version of itunes. which is 11.0.1. happy to say ipad 2 can go up to ios 6 which is even more better. anyways plug into itunes and you should have the summary of your ipad and should say to update or restore.
before you do this backup all your data. this is very important
