Can iPhoto 11 import AVCHD 2.0 1080p 60 frames a second? Doesn't appear to be able to.

I have a Sony A57 that records in 1080p 24 frames a second and 60 frames a second.

iPhoto version 9.4.2.

I recorded several videos, some at 24 frames a second, others at 60 frames a second. The 24 frame videos imported just fine, the 60 frame videos don't even show up in the import window.

I can open the 60 frame files using quick time and export them using the H.264 codec. Seems like iPhoto could also use this same framework to support high frame rate videos.

Anybody have any info on this?
