Migration Assistant creates a new user with your files, so you have to migrate your files of one of your users to the other one using an external disk or Shared folder to have all your data on one user. Finally, open System Preferences > Users and Groups, select the old user and choose the - button to delete the user

Dec 26, 2012 8:37 PM in response to mende1by JonoFostaMan,Okay, I have gotten to the Users folder and I see my current mac user, my transferred user and a shared folder. All the files that I transferred say that I do not have permission to open. I tried copying these files regardless to my mac user, but still nothing shows up.
How can I gain access to my files? Also, where can I find my harddrive properties?
Thanks
