Question - Iphone 5 locked

Hi Guys

I have just purchased an Iphone 5 for my son who has added a lock to the phone but has now forgotton which number he has used. Can anyone help ? I have tried logging into Itunes to reset the phone but this is not allowed as i need to unlock the phone first.
