can i use apple tv to connect my sky box to my broadband

Hi Guys

I have a sky+HD 1TB box while the skybox is capable of connecting to the internet i haven't been able to connect it as my router is in a different room and i would need about a 30 meter ethernet cable to plug it into my router, i know you can use the sky boxes ethernet port to connect the sky wireless connector which will act as a bridge betwee the sky box and the wireless router but as i just got a apple tv as a christmas present i begrudge spending a further £21 to get the wireless connector so was wondering as appletv connects wirelessly to my router can i run an ethernet cable from the sky box to the appletv so that the apple tv in addition to working normally can also double as a wireless connector that will connect my sky box to the internet?

just thought it was worth asking the question just in case this can be done to enable my sky boes on demand features.
