Mail Problem

All the sent messages from my yahoo account just disappeared from my "Mail" mailbox for no apparent reason. Messages sent from Mail also do not appear on my yahoo account when accessed through Safari?? However, a newly sent message sent through Mail, did show up in the sent mailbox in Mail.
