Q: How do I transfer back up data onto the MAC.

How do I trasnfer data from my back up external hard drive to my new MAC. I had awindows PC before which blew up and had the hard disk.

    In order to transfer the data to your Mac, the PC disk has to be formatted in either FAT or exFAT so that it is compatible.  You may need to transfer the data on another disk that is formatted correctly and then transfer it to your new Mac.  Formatting a disk erases the contents.
