iTunes 11 - Music Video Playback Fails through Apple TV if TV is off

I run off a Windows 8 computer and most of the time I am streaming through an Apple TV connected to both a TV (HDMI) and a stereo system (fiber optic). If the TV is off and a music video comes up in the rotation, I get an error because the digital rights are required for the video. If I turn the TV on and play the same video it works.
