Q: Hi,

Hi,

I bought iphone4 a locked version from france, and I was using it only through wifi in UAE. After updating my phone to ios 6 it is not showing anything in the screen except insert sim card. So can I downgrade the firmware to ios 5.1.1?..and how can i do thaT?...

You can not downgrade. Even if you could, you would still have the same problem.

The iPhone requires a SIM to activate. If it is carrier locked, the SIM must be from the carrier it is locked to. The SIM does not need to be active. That is, it does not need to have live phone service associated with it, but it must be present.
