I updated to 3.1 but sync failed and Touch would not open..just got the progress bar and it forze every time. I did a reset to factory settings, and it appears Im updated. However, the Touch does not show in devices, and I can't sync to my library. I never saw the option to register my ipod when I reset...help

What is the current staus of the iPod?
iPod seems fine...all the apps are there (now has the App Store), emails set up, wifi working. When I sync it says its syncing, but doesn't sync my library, and not showing in devices.
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
On the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Syncing your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.
