iPod Classic menu button stuck down.

The Menu button on my iPod Classic seems to be stuck down. When i click any of the other buttons i can tell that i've clicked them, and they even make a discerable clicking noise. I can not tell whether i've actually succesfully clicked my menu button until the menu actually changes on the screen. I do not feel as if i have clicked it, and it makes no sound. I believe it's a hardware problem and i'm going to send it back to get a new one (I just got it for christmas, so it's still covered), but i was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem, or if maybe that's the way it's supposed to be?
