iPod touch 4th gen shows overheat warning sign but not hot at all

User uploaded file

System language is set to Chinese but that's the temperature warning. As you can see, It isn't burnning my hand obviously, in fact it's not even hot, only slightly warm at some spots, I would say 40degrees max.

This happens sometimes during use and never because of a real overheating, it never gets too hot. It also never seem to happen when it is actually getting hot. It only happens when it is not hot.

I bought this as a refurbrished product and not from Apple directly. Is it possibel for me to bring this to an Apple store?

iPod touch, iOS 6

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. A warranty is not necessary.
