What length SATA data cable to get from optical bay to SATA port on a MAC PRO 1.1 ? Also, does it pay to get a right angle cable? Or is it left angle for the cable?

When there were no standard cables available, many users used this under US$20 kit, diverting one cable to the Optical bay and snaking the other to the provided backplate:

Maybe I should have been more specific. I am going to mount an SATA Optical drive in the second optical bay of my Mac Pro 1.1. I have a molex adapter for the power and need to thread a SATA data cable to the SATA port on the motherboard. Since there is not a lot of room, I would like to have the correct length data cable. The only reference I found online mentioned a 1 metre cable. which seems overly long to me. I just wanted to get the most appropriate length cable BEFORE I started the installation.
Any one who has run a SATA cable from the optical bay to the motherboard out there with an answer?
You were already given the correct answer.
Most any SATA internal cable of 12-18" will do and yes you will want an angled cable (not sure if L- or R- but OWC has them)
You do not need to get the PCI kit adapter which is for going out t he back.
