Why can't I receive email's to my mac through iCloud on my macbook pro?

My mail app on my macbook pro does not recive email through the iCloud account. I can recive emails through my iphone 5 and ipad 3g.

This is the error i recive.

There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “iCloud” or try again.

The server returned the error: Mail was unable to connect to server “p09-imap.mail.me.com” using SSL on port 993. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct.
