Apple TV will not turn on

Question

Apple TV will not turn on

I have performed a restore from iTunes but it still wont turn on. I get a blinking light on the Apple TV while the restore is in progress. When the restore is complete, I plug it back into the TV and it still wont turn on. I have replaced the battery on the remote. I have tried different TVs, power sources, HDMI, etc.

I had to use the small remote that came with the Apple TV. I couldn't select / turn on Apple TV using the Television remote. I ca use the latter to select / turn on my set top box. I hope this help.
