I have to use "Force Quit" to exit the mail programme.

I cannot receive emails without having to force quit the mail programme. My internet provider has checked their side and all is OK. I can get webmail OK.

After I force quit, then I can "get new mail" and messages come through OK.

Mac helpdesk suggested a mailbox rebuild. I tried that but no change ( assuming I did it OK ).

any ideas greatly appreciated.
