Q: Why does my iPhone 4 show AirPlay on my slider button but no option to turn on or off so I can mirror it with my apple tv?

My iPhone 4 slider appears from double tapping the home button.  I can check the Apple TV option, but there is no option to turn on the mirror so I can AirPlay with my apple tv.  How do I fix that?  I updated my software.  Thanks
