That statement is just plain assinine. You want to blame whatsapp, fine. It's been explained repeatedly why Apple has no stake in the matter one way or the other.

I want to blame whoever I want to blame, I have a mind of my own (unlike other fanboys) to judge exactly who's to blame in this. for me whatsapp is the culprit with apple as the accomplice to the "crime".

let's just say that we had that million dollars in our accounts but some thiefs (a fruit and a greeting) stole it... are we entitled to retribution or retaliantion? I say we are

Aside from the fact you apparently didn't understand my post, which had nothing to do with the price of the app and everything to do with wanting things we aren't likely to get, are you seriously talking about "retaliation" and "retribution", both very loaded words, over an app that costs a dollar? Really? I would say that Tim chose the wrong word. It's not asinine, it's inane.

He explained his way of "retribution and retaliation" quite clearly:

switch to android where whatsapp is free anyway and this should be punishment enough for both of the thiefs,

I don't know about any of you... but apple won't get any of my money in the future.

So the only one who's putting "load into the words" is you...

I guess I should be flattered, but, really, I'm not responsible for either the denotations nor the connotations of words in the English language, including ones like "revenge", retaliation", "punishment", and "thief".

Does anyone know if there is any way to retrieve the chat histories and media now that we can't get into the app?

Also, if we do upgrade to a new iPhone, if we log in again, will all our data still be there?

  • Kerk Lik Christopher Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

So at last... can Whatsapp use in iPhone 3G anymore? I knew currently still cannot work on iPhone 3G..

  • MartinH76 Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

Yup, can confirm here as well.  My girlfriend has a 3G and Whatsapp has just randomly started working again for her about an hour ago - she's just got a backlog of messages from the last few weeks that she's not been able to see until now.  Weird.
