update from mac os x 10.4.11 for macbook intel core duo

I have a Macbook that is using Mac OS x 10.4.11 and wish to update the OS. Can someone tell me how to do this and the best way?

Any Intel core 2 Duo MBP can run Snow Leopard. Order the disk from the Apple store ($19.99) and install it. After installation check for software updates. These are the Snow Leopard requirements;

If you want to install Mt. Lion, then your MBP must meet these requirements:
