3G iPad mini

Ipad Mini 3G issues : I have a cellular contract with Vodacom South Africa. When I first tried to use cellular data the ipad logged on and worked fine on 3G . Two hours later I got the message 'No Service' The SIM card works fine in my iPhone 5 showing LTE but never 3G . The sim from the iPad works in the phone , showing 3G active . Could this be a GSM radio issue or failure? I have the Sprint version that covers all the right frequencies for 3G , Edge and HSDPA as well as the right LTE channels for Vodacom. Have tried both APN settings provided by Vodacom , rebooted several times , removed the SIM card etc spending hours on the phone to the service provider to no avail. Can anyone shed some light on this ?

Since I swopped SIM cards around , waited for the APN settings to change then swopped back to the Vodacom sim the problem has not re-occurred and I am logged on to Vodacom . I did a sim swop initially and this did not help ( only lost R100 ) you have to use another providers sim for it to work . The problem seems to be with Vodacoms software . Hope this helps.
